Wildfire control and combat strategies have advanced in recent years, to the point that Conaf estimates that they reduce the area burned by wildfires to less than a quarter. However, this type of disaster continues to occur, devastating thousands of hectares of native forest and scrub plantations. Therefore, from the academy, the public and private sectors are working on a new systemic approach. The objective is to generate resilient territories, capable of stopping and mitigating the effects of wildfires.
